Description

Just one night of SHO data - hope to add more if weather cooperates. I was also planning to capture RGB stars and add them in, but the starless version (thanks Starnet 2) looks really artsy and I kind of like it.

There are a couple of larger stars it failed to remove completely, but I couldn't bring myself to use the clone stamp tool.

Couple of new things (to me) I tried in this image:

- I removed stars first, then did deconvolution. This removed all the hassle of deringing and allowed me to push deconvolution further.
- I used that new-ish Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch script and liked the results. It allowed me to preserve contrast around the "pillars of creation" while still retaining the fainter nebulosity around it.

I also chose to linear fit on the SII data just because I liked the colors it produced. Usually I fit on OIII to bring out the blue more.

I think it would really benefit from another nights' data, so I will be performing rituals to the Florida weather gods.
